Trademarks are territorial in nature, meaning rights are typically limited by country (with some exceptions). Owning a registration in one country does not give you any trademark rights in another country. If you do business in more than one country, it is critical that you make sure your mark is available in a country before commencing use (otherwise you are flying blind to potential infringement).
